Beginning another day off
with coffee on the porch,
preparing to take him for his paracentesis,
trying to find comfort however one can,
I sit
and watch a clot of cars push
and honk and swerve
as parents drop their children at school.
Sermon With a Side of Sausage
Sunday morning
and a spattering of cars dot the Life Church parking lot.
Across the ally, the Golden Gate Diner's lot is full.
The scent of home fries and onions
turn the heads of the faithful.
and a spattering of cars dot the Life Church parking lot.
Across the ally, the Golden Gate Diner's lot is full.
The scent of home fries and onions
turn the heads of the faithful.
Petty Theft
Grabbing an envelope for personal mail.
Picking up a paperclip.
Pocketing a pen.
This poem
written right under their noses...
What's a penny to a dime?
I'm just stealing a little time.
Picking up a paperclip.
Pocketing a pen.
This poem
written right under their noses...
What's a penny to a dime?
I'm just stealing a little time.
